Sandwiches made with love! I heard great things about this place but reserved judgement for when I could make the trip in person. This little storefront's looks are deceiving. When you walk in you wonder if the place is worth the hype because the run-down looking interior is nothing to boast about, but the proof is in the food. Staff have a laid back and friendly vibe and are willing to customize orders to make it YOUR WAY. I had the hen burger - ground chicken with seasoning, herb mayo, lettuce, tomato and fries for $9.00. The burger was enough to feed two people in my opinion and a great deal considering what you get elsewhere for the same amount. The fries were crispy and had a little seasoning. And, they even cut a hole in the take-out container so the fries don't get soggy -- I felt the love. I've also had their regular burgers and my brother-in-law loves their rice with veggies. A great all around deli where you can get your standard sandwich as well as hot entrees I plan on being a regular.

Breath of fresh air in Bayside. This place is literally the ONLY deli worth going to in the area. It's so much more than just a deli. And so many options. Had the cheeseburger today, it was great.

It's a little pricey for a deli but it's more than worth it! If I lived closer I would probably go here weekly till I got sick of it lol What we got: - New Yorker Hero with a fried runny egg - greasy and heavy just the way it's suppose to be lol - Piglet II Hero - nice twist with the Asian slaw - Disco fries - a little soggy by the time we got home but still delicious, next time we'll try the lasagna fries and eat in for maximum crispness lol - Pulled pork egg roll - yummy but a little too greasy, I couldn't an entire one by myself. We paid $27 (thank you Yelp for the check in special!) and felt this was seriously enough to feed 4 people. My boyfriend and I had to eat this entire order in two sittings :D Other things to note: the manager in the glasses with graying hair is nice to the customers but a bit over bearing with his employees. The poor cashier was doing everything correctly and handling us just fine but the guy just kept harping on her! Let her do her job - she got this!

I will most definitely be working my way through their entire menu from here on out! Their heros are HUGE. They are delicious but I don't know if I can say it's better than the succulent magical things they make AG cherry valley.... So for $9-10 you can get a giant sandwich stuffed with meat and veggies. They are creative with their sauces and adding unique items like kimchi into their items. Honestly it's whatever you are in the mood for. There are so many options you can find something to suit yor fancy, the ones I've tried weren't outstanding, just very large and filling but tasty none the less. Perfect for 2 ppl to share. Burgers, also very tasty. The pasta (bada bing) burger was strange, unique.... But tasty. I feel like that's a theme here. Lasanga fries are quite large and heavy. Please split this with at least 3-4 other pple. Love the guys who make the sandwiches!

Why was this deli nearly empty? Delicious Sandwiches cooked to order quickly. Very friendly and clean establishment. Yelp discount made lunch only $20. The wife's Southwest Chicken / Veggie hybrid burger was so moist and flavorful! My New Yorker (basically a Pastrami Rueben) was almost as good with fresh sliced Boars Head Pastrami & Crusty Rye. Definitely a keeper. If your a sandwich lover this place got the selections. The best of Bayside!

Can't really go wrong with anything here and it's such a wonderful thing that Yelp has a deal-50% the second sandwich. Come come! Only cons are limited street parking and random random location right near the Clearview. I am so excited this is within a short driving distance from me.

Looooooove the food here! I've been here twice and their stuff is spectacular. I highly recommend the crazy cubano sandwich and the Big Bob's burrito. Absolutely delicious and nice portion too!

Very very good, this place has been around for many years. The food is always fresh and the place is spotless, just a little pricey for the location but worth it!

Ordered delivery tonight. I love that you can order online! My Cobb salad was great! Grilled chicken was fantastic! Avocado was ripe. The dressing was extremely vingery though. I was only able to use a small amount bc it was so strong. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich for my husband - he wasn't wowed. It was moist, but just run of the mill bbq sauce. Sweet potato fries were very salty. The order was missing cole slaw.

Extremely happy with the sandwiches purchased. The hero bread was fresh and the wrap was very good too! I drive by this place all the time and never noticed it. I'm glad I yelped and found that all the wonderful reviews are true. Staff was very friendly too! We have found our go to deli!

My go-to burger spot in Queens when I am home. Located off the Northern Blvd exit on the clearview. The burgers are char-grilled and then put on the griddle to melt the cheese. The burger needs no condiments, it is very juicy and tender. Im a big fan of the all-american burger. They always cook it to my liking and don't just has you how you would like it cooked for the hell of it. Big fan of their sweet potato fries as well. I have tried the chicken sandwiches. The Woods (chicken cutlet, mac n cheese, bacon, brown gravy on a garlic bread hero) was very interesting. If i were to eat it again, I would request it on a plain hero because the garlic powdered bread was a bit overpowering in the taste and I don't think it actually meshes well with the other tastes. There's also a check-in offer. Buy one sandwich get the second one half off. Happy eating yelpers!

I have lived by this gem nearly half my life and only recently found out about it!! OH MAN WHAT WAS I MISSING OUT ON?!?!?! This is a great sandwich shop! Plentiful portions and sandwiches/paninis/wraps put together generously!!!! This has become my local go-to-spot for sandwiches and paninis, if you are a lover of spice you have to try their home made hot-sauce...its not on the menu but you can ask for it, i believe it come in 3 different levels of spiciness mild, hot and extra spicy. I tried them all and they were all very good especially the extra spicy!

Makes a pretty damn good sandwich. My wife and I had the "Big C". The portion size was enough where we could have probably just bought one and split it . We got a side of waffle fries and they were ok. Can't wait to go back and try a burger....

Great sandwiches. Been living in Bayside all my life and never came across this sandwich joint. It's much better than Cherry Valley or Christina's. Quality is almost as good as Se-Port Deli. I ordered the Sicilian Special which had many layers of thinly cut prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and drizzled in balsamic vinaigrette. Bf ordered the Big-C. I only tried the Sicilian special hero and it was fantastic. There wasn't an overload of vinaigrette so the bread was not soggy. I ordered this sandwich in a hero size and it was pretty large. They honored my yelp check in deal "buy one get second sandwich for 50%" without a problem. It seems like this place is more known for their burgers than sandwiches but I'll save that for next time. There's a few tables in the back if you want to eat in but I had mine to-go.

Fantastic neighborhood spot with superb service. Burgers are affordable for how high quality and delicious they are (I always say the buns makes the burger... and they got great brioche buns! What other deli is gonna give you that??) There are a lot of different and creative types of burgers to choose from, so there's something for everyone. The owner who saw that we were first timers gave us a big bowl of lasagna fries on the house. My mom still raves about that experience.

Great sandwich place in Bayside. Their burgers are very good specially the ahi tuna burger. Prices are reasonable. Nice clean place.

Grabbed a Crazy Cuban and a Reuben sandwich and both were excellent. The breads were toasty and the filling was generous and flavorful. With the yelp checkin discount, it was a great value!! The only minor complaint is that the sandwiches were definitely on the greasy side compared to some other delis.

Superb food. Mike is a culinary artist on so many levels. He just keeps outdoing himself. Spoiling his loyal customers with his amazing, freshly prepared, innovative and mouth-watering menu, he keeps things on-point at Constantine's. I can deeply appreciate the history of this staple 'deli' that has been around for like 70 years. It's a beautiful thing to be a long-standing anything these days. I am thrilled to give my business to local shops that serve the community and, especially when they do it with a smile. Their service, just like their food, is on-point. We are hugely conflicted everytime we eat here. Where do we even start with this glorious menu?! A few things I know to be absolutely true : Burgers! Every single time, without fail. Consistent. Fresh, hand-formed patties. Cooked to a perfect Medium as ordered. So juicy, it oooozes with flavor. Brioche bun?! Hello! We've tried almost every beef burger here. Gotta try that new Seoul Burger soon! Chicken Burgers Um. Same as above! Juicy and fresh. And fresh as in, ground and hand-formed ... no frozen patties! The Main Street Burger is a fave! Ahi Tuna! Perfectly seared. Atop salad. Between a Brioche bun. Whatever. This is legit sashimi grade tuna. Wings Mike is THE master of sauces. Always trying to reinvent, this guy! Amazing. Especially if you love the heat! I am always searching for the next spiciest thing I can eat. And I cross my heart - the Armageddon is ri-dic-u-lous. I am promoting this to my fellow heat-lovers. And, seriously warning the rest of you. Seriously. Everything Else Just try it. Nothing is bad here! Now, I have struggled with wanting to tell everyone about this place - because it's true - we humans are selfish by nature! Everyone who loves something can relate to this, no? To share or not to share?! But I've decided - in order to ensure that Constantine's gets the credit that they deserve, and to ensure 70 more years of this wonderful place - I am sharing!

So I finally tried out this deli after hearing about it from friends. It's a pretty solid place to get a sandwich if you're in the area because it's not exactly on a major road, so you'll need to know where it is to actually go. I don't think I'd necessarily go out of my way to get something from here though. Anyway, moving onto the important part: the food! I got The Running Chicken sandwich on a hero (chicken cutlet, cheddar, bacon, ranch dressing, lettuce and tomato). Pretty tasty and definitely filling - the bread was really good (held the sandwich together well and had a good density to it without being too heavy). The menu options are what you'd expect from a deli, nothing too surprising. Overall experience was okay - the sandwich did its job and the service was nice (minus the fact that the cashier girl was new and took a loooong time to ring up my 2 items).

Constantine's is a little hidey-hole on the edge of Bayside that has a lot to offer. Call it a deli plus almost restaurant. I only it found it on my way to the Clearview Expwy one morning and now make it a regular stop for breakfast to pick up a quick bagel w/ a schmear or egg sandwich on a roll. They open super early everyday before 6am to catch all the construction contractors on the way to their jobsites, so you'll see a lot of trucks & vans parked & double parked in front at the crack of dawn. There are even some tables if you want to dine in. They're in the upper range of the single $ sign and some items are in the $$ range, so they tend to be a little pricier than your run-of-the-mill deli. Recently, I tried picking up some food for dinner coming home late and didn't want to cook. The sandwiches are really heavy duty like the Crazy Cubano and the cheesesteak with some good flavors. The burgers are awesome, served on brioche buns so that the bread isn't a glop of dough when you get it home. The onion rings are just the way I like them too, dipped in batter, not bread crumbs. I read that the chef/part owner is CIA trained and likes to show off those skills (culinary, not 007). That's evident in some of the dishes like the ahi tuna salad. Perfectly seared slices of tuna, nice & red in the middle on a bed of greens. And slices of lotus root? C'mon at a deli? Some of the entree dinners sound really good, like the cajun pork loin and the classic meatloaf. They come with 2 sides and are tasty, but are not too substantial, skimping on the meat. Taste was good, but I need more for a meal. If you feel like busting a gut, get the lasagna fries, a large portion of waffle fries smothered in meat sauce & cheese. Once you get it home and cooled, it's a large gooey mess, but pop it in the oven and it'll be a hot gooey mess, but enjoy it until your heart stops.

One thing I've noticed in Oakland Gardens is that there isn't a lot of delis. This deli is a little pricey but every time that I've gone here, their sandwiches are delicious. I order the Italian BLT or the Garden Bun hero. Their heroes are fresh and packed with food in between. You will definitely be full and satisfied! Don't forget to check-in so you can get the the buy one get one 50% off on sandwiches! :) The staff that worth there are very friendly! There is seating in the back and they do have a bathroom!

Decided to come here after reading such great reviews. All i can say is not impressed.. I can see why people would say these sandwiches are great but i'v had better. I got the new yorker and it was way too heavy for me. The oil was oozing out of the rye bread. This got me nauseous during and after the meal.. Would not recommend. My friend and i ordered the fries and it was really bad. I think they overcooked it and did not even out the seasonings. Either the fries were very salty or had no salt at all. At least my friends ham and cheese on a hero turned out great. This place is on the pricey side and did not impress me.

Slight update-- I had to knock them down a notch due to the disappointing disco fries. They were super salty and the portion we were given was maybe a handful with barely any cheese on top. Call me a pest--but I usually share my fries soaked in cheese and gravy so we need more than 2 each. That is all.

I still think the sandwiches are great, but they also tout that they serve the 'Best Burgers in Bayside', that's a bold statement and I must say, I totally agree! Burgers are a half a pound of meaty, juicy goodness. They have a variety of burgers to choose from. The All American includes lettuce, tomato, thinly sliced red onion, sliced pickle and bacon. This is a burger that requires a large bite, but it was constructed so well that it didn't fall apart as you were eating it. The burger itself was so juicy, I forgot to add ketchup and I didn't even notice. It was so good. Paul's Burger includes Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, horseradish sauce on a garlic buttered bun. The sweetness of the onions was offset by the kick of the horseradish. The buttered bun almost put the burger over the top, but it was decadent and delicious. Burgers come with your choice of either sweet potato or regular fries. The sweet potato fries were creamy, but were missing some crispness. The shoestring fries were super crispy and great. They really aren't lying when they claim to have the best burgers in Bayside, if you're skeptical, go see for yourself!

This place is still as good as it was a while ago, in case anybody thought it wasn't! This has become my spot where I just throw on sweats, take a seat, and order up whatever I feel like eating. I craved breakfast during dinner, and had an amazing bacon egg and cheese on a BRIOCHE roll. Yes, brioche! We also had some fries with this awesome green dipping sauce that will make you not want to eat anything without it. Please go here, now!

I recently started to order form here and the food is always good if not great. Delivery is fast. Once a mistake was made, I called they fixed it right away and added extras to the next order. I highly recommend the Tom Turkey sandwich, the sweet potato fries (always crispy), and the Cuban panini. You HAVE to get the spinach and artichoke dip with pita chips- too good to pass up. Will definitely be back.

I can't get enough of their Rueben sandwich. Generously stacked mouth watering Corned beef, Swiss cheese & sauerkraut on grilled rye bread. I recently found out they have a breakfast version

Im not sure what the hype is about this place. I went in yesterday and the food was mediocore at best. I ordered the chili cheese fries... and the fries were burnt... so i ordered regular fries. It was just okay. And the sandwiches were just... okay. Idk. Maybe i went in on a bad day. Ill have to check it out again... maybe. Anyway that being said for OK food our bill came out to $30 something... for two sandwiches and two fries.... i think thats pretty damn expensive for a deli.. Anyway the only thing that stood out was the guy taking our orders he was really nice.. but anyway i probably wont be back.

This place is terrible. The owner is terrible. Knows nothing about how to run a business. Terrible customer service. Serves you rotten milk for your coffee and makes you pay for it. Instead of giving me a new cup he dumped out what was bad and reused the same cup. He is too expensive for the lack of quality

A lot of my friend recommended this place and it really didn't live up to its hype. The sandwiches could use a little more loving such as taste wise. The lasagna fries are a nice touch. A little pricey compared to cristinas or cherry valley, which you get more bang for your buck

Place located in a residential area. Street parking not so bad. Had a hero called The Clearview on a sesame hero. Let me just say it is huge in size, like 2 ordinary heroes in 1. The taste could've been better if the bread wasn't rock hard. I went on a late saturday afternoon, not sure if thats the reason. There is seating if needed and also accept credit cards. They have a small salad bar selection with some cold/hot food? Not sure how to explain this but had rice, meatloaf, spaghetti, meatballs, etc in the same fridge with coleslaw, olives, tuna salad etc. did not look to fresh. But besides that only good thing is the size and combination of the sandwich. Not your ordinary delicatessen.

The food here tends to be quite tasty, they are usually really quick to deliver and are always polite. It's probably one of the best delis in the area. I have no complaints about that. The food, the nice delivery fellas, and the quickness of their deliveries each earned a star from me. But it'd be nice if they weren't always out of whatever I order. In general, I don't mind going with a different option; it can be fun to try out something unexpected. But sometimes I really just want what I want! Huh. I was just about to give Constantine's four stars but as I was typing this review, my food arrived and with my sandwich, I got a side of lecture from the owner about not tipping enough because evidently, the walk from the adjacent parking lot to my building is the same as trekking from the Shire to Mordor. Apparently the $2 tip that Seamless automatically tacks onto every order as well as the additional $2 I give upon delivery (for a tip total of $4) isn't enough to appease his sensibilities. I didn't even get a chance to offer the second $2 before he ripped into me. Seriously, if I wanted to be scolded, I'd save myself the $18 delivery minimum and just hang out with my dad. It is incredibly rude to tell other people how to spend their money and it's especially rude to yell at your customers. How about you pay your delivery guys a proper wage instead of relying on your customers to subsidize your miserly business practices? That is, if you are truly that concerned about your delivery people's financial welfare? And just to be clear, none of the delivery guys have ever been less than pleasant, polite, and professional. I'm just shocked that *the owner* was the one who showed his bad manners and he is the reason for the mediocre rating. I won't be ordering from Constantine's again. As an aside, I've noticed all the issues I've had with delivery people re: tipping have been Seamless orders, and it doesn't seem to matter if I include a bigger tip, leave it at the default $2, or put $0 in the tip box: I get demanding and snotty delivery guys from most of the vendors.

The BIG C - oh do I love the names delis give their signature sandwiches. I stopped by here because they were offering a 25% off first sandwich (which they did honor). And word on the street is this place is the up-and-coming, soon to be cherry valley deli of whitestone?? Well, I did like the BIG C - chicken cutlet sandwich with typical lettuce, tomato, onions, american cheese, and just a smidgeeeee of hot sauce. Very beautifully made and service here was very friendly. It was a great sandwich, no doubt, but I wouldn't go ahead and call this the best sandwich I've ever had (Se-port Deli in East Setauket still takes the cake). Next time, I'd like to try their lasagna waffles if I'm in the area.

  • Alvin H.

Great sandwiches! Great burgers! Haven't try the chicken sandwiches or their salads. Soups are hot and hearty. The only reason for leaving out 1 star is that I felt the prices are a bit steep. If they were aiming for a restaurant instead of a deli, then the prices can be justified but otherwise...It's prices are $$$

I love the sandwiches. Mike is the best! And the service is beyond most restaurants. My friend and I ordered The Big C and the Steak It Easy, both on a hero. We had the sandwiches to stay. Constantine's Deli has a lot of seats available for eating in. Mike served us our food at our table. My first reaction was that these sandwiches are huge. They are jam packed with meat. The sandwiches tasted fresh and flavorful. Occasionally, Mike would come by our table to see how we're doing and if we needed anything. At one point, he offered us some of a freshly made Waffle Crisp Lasagna. This was around 7 pm on a Thursday night and we were the only customers there. It seemed like he made this dish just for us but we declined. My friend and I already had trouble finishing just half our sandwiches. We later had to take the rest of our sandwiches to go. I asked Mike for a box and, with a big smile on his face, said that he'll wrap it up for us. Many restaurants now give you boxes to package your own food. This deli is better than that! As we left, Mike persisted that we take home some Lasagna Waffle Crisps for free. It was a really nice gesture. We declined again but thankfully he talked us into it because that dish was spectacular. Mike gave us a huge portion. This deli is one of those hidden gems not on the main road. Constantine's Deli is more than just a deli. It has many awesome qualities of a restaurant and a deli combined. The service is excellent, the place is clean, and the menu is filled with enticing dishes. For the price and the amount you receive, the dishes are a bargain. Next time, I'm going to try a burger at Constantine's Deli. The burgers use 1/2 lb patties!

I have passes by multiple times and always wanted to give it a chance. After reading the glowing yelp reviews I gave it a shot earlier in the week and went back the next day... It's just that good. First time I got the Cuban sandwich which was great ... But the burger and lasagna fries just took the cake. The place is no frills but the staff goes out of their way to help / make you feel like family. They have a new regular customer in me!!

Dear Dragon Sauce, I don't know what you are, or what's in you... or how many millions of calories you add to my already delicious sandwich, but I don't care. You're beautiful. And delicious. And I will never order anything from Constantine's without it. I love you. Always, Lee

I must've drove by this deli a million times without notice...what a shame. thanks to fellow yelpers and a hungry husband we dropped in for a quick bite. WOW so glad we did. We shared a pastrami sandwich pastrami egg roll and waffle fries...we didnt know which sauces to choose from but so we chose the green sauce, when our food came out they have gave a sample of ALL their sauces...whatttt so kind! And every single one was tasty. Thank you Constantine's for an amazing quick meal and your hospitality! Dont forget to check in for 50% off the second sandwich.

Ordered online a few times. It's fast and efficient. Great sandwiches. Customer service skills can be a little better. They have great macaroni and potato salad! Probably the best in the area. Food is great. I would have given 5 stars it the decor and service was better. Looks like the place hasn't been updated in decades.

My new home from home. Everything on the Menu has been a A PLUS the people that work there are friendly its like a big family. The best thing about Constantines is that they make whatever you imagine.

Absolutely loveeeee their salads. The "franny lew" is my favorite and also the "shroomin salad" the staff are nice and on the friendly side. Delivery is fast but they charge for extra dressing! Which I find absurd. The amount of dressing they give for the size of the salad isn't enough. Their sandwiches are delicious also and have funky makes which I love. The "angry penguin" is good! Oh and always good parking when I decide to actually drive there from 4 blocks away. #Lazy

I've passed this place so many times and glad I finally stopped in. Burger was great. It tasted charred and beefy. Just like I like it. Almost like I grilled it myself. Great fries and a great price. Ordered some buffalo wings and they were great as well. I've eaten there and had delivery, the delivery was still hot and fresh. I would put their burger above Bare Burger for sure.

I had the most amazing chicken and veggie burger I've ever had. First of all--the burger is HUGE..I could only finish half (which is the best for me because then I can experience it TWICE). Doesn't look like much from the yelp pictures but I have to say it was amazing. My boyfriend had a regular beef burger (can't remember his toppings) and he said its the best burger he's ever had...and we eat a lot of burgers. This is a new favorite and will be ordering again..tonight!

I was here years ago and honestly it wasn't different from any other deli but after reading all the positive reviews i made it a point to try Constantine's again and I'm glad I did. They're a little on the expensive side but then again you're in Bayside, not Astoria. I ordered the Pot O Gold on rye and it was exactly what I thought it should be. From the Russian dressing to the Cole slaw to the pastrami and corned beef and the taste of the caraway seeds, I was very happy! Next time the Godfather! Constantine's I shall be back soon! BTW finally a good deli in Bayside that doesn't charge an arm and leg for a nice sandwich. Good job!

I absolutely LOVE this place! I used to live in Bayside, and when I discovered this delicatessen, I never wanted to go to any other deli. The service is very friendly, attentive, but most of all, the food is fantastic. The sauces they create too for their sandwiches are oh-so-delicious. My usual is either "Paul's Burger" with the horse-radish spread and a side of sweet potato fries, or the "Steak It Easy" with actual slices of flank-steak and the DRAGON SAUCE. I have yet to figure out the recipe for the dragon sauce myself hehe, because it's THAT good. "Best burgers in Bayside;" I have to agree on that. Even though I live in Flushing, I stop by here whenever I want a really good sandwich and casual conversation. The prices may be a little on the higher side, but you definitely get what you pay for. Want something fresh, delicious, and comes with friendly service? Go here!

I keep going back for the ahi tuna burger. I asked for it cooked rare using olive oil. They nailed it. I had it with a side salad. This was as good as it gets. The total was 17.00 but it is worth every penny. This was also a good size tuna burger, cooked perfectly rare. The cole slaw on top with the wasabi mayo is fantastic.

I think my first steps as a baby were to Constantine's Deli. I know it was the first store I was allowed to walk to on my own. Back then it was simply known as "The Deli" and it was more of a convenience store where I sent to get milk, snacks etc. I moved away from Bayside for a number of years and returned to find that it has the best food in town. My morning is not complete without an everything "flagel" and an iced coffee. The customer service is superb. (other establishments should take note) Emily is always so sweet, but every cashier there is friendly. You are always greeted with "Good Morning " and an upbeat "How can I help you ?" You dont find the cashiers on their cell phone or ignoring the customers, or acting as if they do not want to be bothered. There are alot of regulars who are there each day so you kind of feel like you are walking into Cheers. Its nice to start out the day with a friendly greeting and great food. My only complaint after over 30 years of coming into the Deli the owner still doesnt know my name LOL.

A yelp coupon for b1g1 50% off never hurts, but there's a reason this neighborhood deli in bayside attracts lunchers from around the area. Large and filling hot sandwiches like the Clearview and the Pot O'Gold are quality choices for a takeout lunch. As recommended by another reviewer, slapping on an extra medium fried egg on the Pot O'Gold pastrami reuben really elevated the sandwich to another level of flavorful satisfaction. I'd definitely order that again.

I ordered the New Yorker and my significant other ordered the Whitestone. Both sandwiches came out hot and toasty with a pickle on the side. The staff is very attentive. They use boar's head cold cuts on the sandwiches. The sandwiches are huge, so they are well worth the money paid. Overall great place to eat a deli sandwich and drink a beer. Becks are $1.50.

Overall: Service is awesome, amazing food, very friendly staff, and the choices are great! Frequent customer and have tried their paninis, burgers, sandwiches, some things from the breakfast menu ... Everything I tried so far has been great. Any place that has lasagna fries and chimichurri sauce for my chicken sandwiches definitely has my approval. As far as hangover food after a night of drinks, the chicken sandwiches and burgers are definitely the way to go.

I went here a few times already and I cannot understand what the hype is about. I see a decent amount of reviews comparing this to Cherry Valley/Christina's/Se-port Deli. Everytime I've had a fried chicken cutlet type of sandwich, a good portion of the chicken was dry. Sometimes I'd get a really hard and rubbery piece. A lot of the times, the hero bread seems a bit stale and it is really hard to chew through. Their fries seem to be a hit or a miss and portions are meager compared to similar style deli's.

Best deli ever! All the food is delicious! I literally crave it on my way home from work and just have to stop by for either their chicken cutlet, mash potatoes, meatloaf, potato salad, sandwiches or those homemade cookies that are so good and addicting! oh and the coffee is delicious too!!! Love it here and the staff is great and like family since I see them almost every day.

I have been coming here for 10 years and things have slowly dropped off. The wait times are long and its not even like there are a lot of customers ordering. Then they have absolutely no ventilation so every time you go inside, you come out smelling like oil. The food itself is mediocre and over priced a tad. Hate to give a review like this and see a long standing deli drop off in quality.

I lived around the corner from Constantine's for many years only discovered it recently with my foodie friend. I love all the sandwiches at constantine's but most of all the burgers. The Main Street chicken burger is great if you're looking for a lighter option and their all american burger melts in your mouth. I also love that they have sweet potato and waffle fries. It's a little bit on the pricier side for a deli but I think it's totally worth it. My friend has also tried the cuban panini- also very delicious. The deli doesn't look very big from the outside but there are tables and chairs for you to eat in and endless drink options. Definitely give this place a try- you will become a fan!

Was a regular of Cherry Valley for years but quality has seemed to decline as of recently, so looked for a closer place for great sandwiches. This is it. Not as large but a great size which should fill all but the hungriest of fellows (or ladies, can't forget about you). Also, huge marks for the lasagna waffle fries. Freaking ingenious.

I've been coming here since at least 1985, and I'm sure my mom has brought me here before I can remember walking here in the 80's as a child to buy a bag of chips and a drink. Their del is great, and their prepared food even better. Great selection, great coffee, (they reportedly use vassilaros brand), and great service. Keep up the good work, and I will be coming here for another twenty seven years.

This unassuming deli takes great care in making high quality subs - and burgers! I've only tried a few subs, but i doubt can go wrong with any. The "clearview" (breaded chicken cutlet, roasted red peppers, mozzarella), for example, is a hit. Also, I suggest the 1/2 lb burger + fries combo: $8.50. One of the better burgers i've had in my lifetime. This place is a little out of my way, but i would be happy to go the extra distance for a great burger or sub.

Nice neighborhood deli. I haven't been here in a while. I thought the food here was a few dollars more than other delis. However, I couldn't taste the difference in the food. I came here for the convenience since I live close by. I give this place 3.5 star for now. I would return only because of the convenience and the place looks clean.

What can I say, Constantine's is the best kept secret in Queens, Literally! nobody knows about this place!! The sad thing is, hands down its got some of the best sandwiches in Queens! I just think these guys need like a humungous neon awning that say's "we rock". In the past month I have tried "Paul's Burger" the "hen house" and the "Steak it easy". You have to be kidding me, "Grilled flank steak, melted cheddar, peppers, & onions on garlic bread" I love this sandwich, pure perfection. Why would anyone drive to eat at "subway" when this place literally around the corner? I'll tell you why, because they just don't know....well now you do.

I came to this place when my wife had a craving for a burger. I yelped burgers and read the great reviews for this place and decided to try it out. We ordered the Baysider, Southwest chicken burger and lasagna fries. They were freaking awesome. Chef Mike was very friendly and hooked us up with some free pulled pork egg rolls. This is a definite must go to spot.

This Deli is by far the best Ive ever been. The service and the people are outstanding. The owner was delightful. Its great to be in an environment thats family friendly and homelike. Not only is the environment great, the food is one of a kind. The Crazy Cuban is out of this world. I'm sure if asked for something that wasn't on the menu, they would gladly make it. Thats what kind of place this is. Friendly and very accommodating. Whenever I leave, I always leave full and smiling!

Can't get over how much I love the food from here. Every weekend when I allow myself to eat whatever I want, I get the crazy Cubano panini, jumping giraffe (amazingly flavorful chicken cutlet w gravy, sautéed onions and mushrooms, bacon, cheddar on garlic bread!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm salivating now as I write this, one of the best sandwiches I've ever had esp if you get it panini style) and a flank steak platter. Never gets old! Their burgers are really good too; I love the fluffy brioche it comes on.

Went here today for lunch. I had the Big C and my boyfriend had the Santa Fe burger. Both were great but I think that I enjoyed the burger the best. While we were eating we were looking at the menu and talking about the lasagna fries and one of the workers came over and gave us a free sample. It is refreshing to go to a place that goes above and beyond. Lastly the cook that works there seems very passionate about his job which makes the experience even better! Great team and great food deserves a yelp review! Go there you won't be disappointed.

Buck C. stated it beautifully as this is "The Holy Grail of Sandwich Spots." This is my favorite deli in all of Queens. It's located near 48th Avenue which overpasses Clearview Expressway. I always see this place when I take the Q31 and am tempted to make a quick pit stop every time. The sandwiches are fantastic, especially The Jumping Giraffe. I have had most of the sandwiches on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. You can also deviate from the given selections and make a sandwich of your own accord. I also love the wraps here. That's A Wrap is located nearby on Bell Boulevard but Constantine's is my preferred spot. Also, this place cater's Italian food and I must say they came through for me when I made a last minute same-day order for a full tray of Chicken Francaise, Penne Alla Vodka, and Chicken Parmesan which was not only completed, tasted amazing, but the price was unbelievable compared to restaurants further up north in Bayside Village. You cannot go wrong here.

I don't like going to bodegas for sandwiches. Im from long island and like deli's. This deli is great got the big C on a roll and it was delicious.Plenty of seating in the back. Its not the taj mahal but good place to sit and eat.would strongly recommend.

The rumors are true. Constantine's Deli in Bayside is better than Cherry Valley. I went yesterday with my cousin and had the "Beast" which is a roast beef hero with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar and horseradish. I was wow-ed by the quality of the hero. The bread was old fashion crispy on the outside and soft in the inside (real bread). Unlike the hero bread which is all soft and never get hard, most likely because of the preservatives that many other delis use nowadays. The place was clean and there were lots of tables to sit to eat. The people were friendly and nice. I thought I might have caught them on a good day so I went again today. No, that was just the excuse I told myself. Last night I was craving something else from Constantine. Today, I had the waffle lasagna fries (see the picture). Oh my god, I was in heaven! I though chili cheese fries was the greatest thing in the world but try Lasagna waffle fries it's even better. Yeah, I got the "Beast" again and Mike let us try the pulled pork egg roll (picture). That was very good too the pulled pork was just right not too sweet and the texture of the pulled pork was just right. I may go again tomorrow If you want an old fashion deli sandwich with quality ingredients at a nice friendly clean deli go to Constantine's.

HOLY SHEEP SH!T!!!!!!! This place might be the holy grail of sandwich spots!!! If anyone out there knows of a sandwich better then the "Crazy Cubano" or the "New Yorker" then have it with a full order of "Lasagna Fries" and try to beat that!!! I've been coming here for years and they never stop getting better. The staff is down to Earth and genuinely friendly and the selection is vast!! When I want health food they have creations including seared Ahi tuna and grilled salmon over very fresh salads ...when I want a quick snack they have prepared foods ready to go like incredible Chicken Caccatore and Awesome Turkey and veggie chili...and when I want some serious food they have full entrees with sides and some of the most thoughtfully crafted sandwiches and wraps I've ever had. The owner is a serious chef whose skills with flavor was honed at C.I.A. (one of the best cooking schools is the U.S.), yet there is nothing overdone here. From some of the best burgers I have ever had, (the "Cowboy Burger" is my pick), to a collection of chicken and veggie burgers that are so creative and original (Santé Fe is the way to go) that I find myself conflicted with either ordering the same thing everyday or never ordering the same thing again. I have not only never been let down here, but there seems to be a consistent progression of improvement. Just for some back ground, I am a culinary pro, a serious foodie and I have worked for some of the best chefs in New York, and if I had to put this food against Tom Collichio's "WichCraft" I'd opt to stay in Queens. What's ridiculous is that in the same neighborhood there are sandwich staples like "Cherry Valley" or "Bear Burger" and these places are a whimpering, pathetic joke in comparison. "Cherry valley" is the nastiest, dirtiest place I've ever heard of and the service and food are just as offensive. In fact, "Cherry Valley" is open 24/7 365 and they have never shut down to clean!!! Why not??? Constantine's is by far the cleanest place I have ever gone to. And "Bear Burger"??? Not a bad place, but go pick up a burger from Constantine's and compare it to "bear burger" and you'll see right away who wins. Wait!!! On top of all of that, THEY DELIVER!!!.....BEER!!!!!!!!!! I cannot express how impressive this place is!! They have tables and a bar/counter and the owners told me they'll be add kegs soon so I can have a tap beer and a burger like a gentleman. I am a die hard fan of this place and I have found myself comparing every mediocre experience my family and I have with this food and service. There doesn't seem to be a close comparison. All and all I have to give Constantine's 5 stars only because II cannot give them ten. Great job guys!!!! Thanks for always impressing me!!!! By the way, although the reviews are good I have noticed many patrons saying it's over priced....the prices justify themselves after the first bite!!!!!

Now it's rare I give 5 stars to anyone unless I feel there's something special about an establishment. Constantine's is pretty hidden, and I stumbled onto here only because a friend lived nearby. Your typical small deli on the outside until you walk in...how rare is it that you're greeted with a "hello" with a genuine warm smile. Good selection of homemade food, warm atmosphere, reasonable prices, friendly staff...seriously, i think I'd drive the 5 miles out of the way just to eat here. oh, for some reason, their coffee seems extra tasty here...

What a hidden gem. I feel ashamed for living in bayside for 30 yrs and not knowing of this place. Fresh, awesome sadwiches. Try the chicken cutlet hero made any way you like it.

What a gem! You may call it a deli, but this place is so beyond that. My son found this place due to working in the area. Well he raved and raved till we couldn't take it anymore, and made a trip with him to try for ourselves. It is amazing! The food, the service, all top notch. I had a burger which is one of the best I've ever had. The meat was perfect and the roll to die for. I also tried the onion rings which were delicious as well. The owner, had us try the lasagna French fries, OMG outrageous! It's our new go too! Do yourself a favor, make it your business to stop over there and sample for yourself, you will be glad you did!

Got an email from Yelp recommending Constantine's. All I can say is thank you Yelp I owe you one! Plenty of choices, clean, friendly staff, competitively priced but most of all fantastic food. It's off the beaten path like a hidden gem. If this place was in a prime location the owners would be millionaires. Get there quick!

My husband and I discovered this gem through grubhub. The simple name doesn't do the place (food) justice. The sandwiches are delicious and while the ingredients in many are common, the combinations are unique, which makes this place stand out from many other delis. Service is fast and consistently great. One day we decided to visit the actual deli (as opposed to ordering online) and were surprised by its simplicity - it looks like a regular deli but the food and quirky menu truly makes it stand out. The people who helped us were very friendly. The salads are great and large, sandwiches always arrive hot, bread is never soggy. At the request of our delivery guys, we now order via text and it is as easy if not easier than ordering online or over the phone. Highly recommend.

Based on yelp reviews, gave this place a shot with friends and our children in order to fulfill everyone's request. Grilled cheese sandwich. Fries. Burger. Corned beef sandwich. And we were all blown away with how delicious the pot o'gold sandwiches tasted. The lasagna fries were amazing. I can't stop thinking about it. I am definitely going back and am so glad we walked in here. The service was very good and I want to try more items on the menu for sure!!

Constantines Delicatessen is one of the best deli's i've ever eaten at. They have huge portions and the flavors are out of this world! One of the best things about this place is how big the portions are. You always need a to-go box becuase there is so much food left over. Make sure to check this place out. It gets really busy so you might want to call in ahead of time.

Ok, so this is visit #3 I think. I'm eating my way thru the menu. Tonight it was the New Yorker, pastrami on rye, with cheese and Russian dressing. Yummy. My husband had the meatloaf wrap with cheese and said it was delish. I remember the last time I was here I had the thanksgiving sandwich, turkey, dressing, cranberry and it was amazing, but like I said in the beginning....I'm eating my way thru the menu. When in doubt of what to eat, definitely come here.

I'll start by saying the three stars are for the food... I'd maybe even go 3 and a half bc I have been there and had a good egg sandwich. Today I ordered a wrap (I had no clue if they had wraps because I didn't see it on the menu or in the store though I may have missed it) with roast beef, cheese, BLT.... $11.95!!! After waiting to pay while the cashier slowly evened out the cash registers and I the only customer just waited there cash in hand trying to get out in a rush, she said 11.95 I almost wanted to refuse it but I ordered it (with seeing any pricing for wraps on the menu) so I should pay for it. I figured okay maybe it comes with a side salad, pickle something... NOPE. Just a relatively thin wrap. The bacon wasn't warmed or anything. It just was very plain and not even bulky...not a $12 wrap A minute or two later my grind in Manhattan called while he was getting lunch. I told him what I got and how much, he laughed and Said lets see how much one is here (financial district ps). His was $8 after tax with prosciutto added... Something is wrong with this picture. A lot of Commenters said prices were too high so I don't feel as bad saying it. I think the place is good but be prepared to over pay.

My Dragon sandwich is so heavenly! The spicy wings had perfect kick. This place is consistent. So glad yelp led me to this place. BTW, the cook was nice I will definitely going back to try tons of things on their menu. The shop is very clean. Unexpected from a small deli!

4.5 stars! I'm ASHAMED, so ashamed! I drive by Constantine Deli on a daily basis and never had once thought about going in. Actually I didn't even notice they were there... What's wrong with me? Could it be that I lost all hope and faith in other delis after experiencing some of the greatest in Queens? Sal,Kris,Charlie CHECK, Leo's Latticini Mama's CHECK, II Bambino CHECK, JoJu CHECK. Or perhaps I have lost my love for sandwiches in general? HATE that low carb diet! But whatever it is, TODAY I took a leap of faith and ventured into Constantine Deli. Constantine Deli, an all American deli that is popular/famous for its creative and delicious sandwiches, is located in Bayside. It's on 48th ave between Clearview Expressway Service Road and 206th street- It's very isolated and shouldn't be hard to spot. Best way to get here is by car (right by the Clearview Expressway) but if you are really craving it, the Q27 and Q31 will get you here as well. Parking: Plenty of parking, I usually get a spot right in front of the place. Décor and Ambiance: It's a deli, so no need to wear your tux or Louboutin in here. Flip flops and shorts welcome! It's a good size deli, heck you don't even have to walk far into the store to order. There are some seating in the back (around 20) and around 5-6 seating by the grill- in case you want to check out how they flip your burgers. It's bright, clean and roomy, I don't think you can expect anything more than that from a deli! Food: This is the most challenging part of it all, what to get, what to get? I was legit overwhelmed when I opened up their menu, there must be at least 30-40 different types of Hot/ Cold sandwiches! And to make things worst, they all sounded delicious!! But fear not, after getting a couple of friends to try out a couple of sandwiches, we narrowed down some of our favorites: The Whitestone (Sandwich)- This is my FAVORITE BY FAR! Chicken Cutlet with fried eggplant, fresh mozzarella, lettuce, tomato and garlic herb mayo all sandwiched between 2 pieces of garlic bread! The chicken cutlet was soft, moist and flavorful. It doesn't have too much breading and the chicken is huge! The eggplant was perfectly fried, still hot from the deep fryer, thinly sliced and well marinated. It doesn't even taste like eggplant and it just melts in your mouth. The garlic herb mayo and the garlic bread were like icing on the cake; you can never go wrong with too much garlic, unless you are coming here with a date, you most DEFINITELY should give this one a shot!! MUST GET! TIP: Get the Dragon sauce here, they might charge you for it but it's delicious!!!! The Baysider (Burger)- If you like burgers, this is the one to get! What do you get when you put sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, bacon, swiss and chipotle bbq sauce together? Answer- A very happy foodie. Constantine Deli boasts themselves to have the best burger in Bayside and they back it up with some legit burger. The cooks definitely know what they are doing, they burgers are cooked to whatever temp you like- of course I like mine medium rare. The burger itself is just a flavor texture overload- soft flavorful mushrooms, roasty slightly sweet caramelized onion, crispy/crunchy bacon and smoky, spicy chipotle bbq sauce all sealed by soft creamy Swiss cheese... just thinking about it makes me hungry! Now I don't know is that the best burger in Bayside or not but it's definitely a darn good one! The Crazy Cubano (Paninis) - is just crazy; you will spend your first 3 minutes staring and marveling at the size of this thing. Why is this thing so big? This must weigh at least 1-2 lb easy. It is filled with pulled pork, grilled ham, pickles, garlic chipotle mayo and Swiss cheese. The pull pork was juicy and tender and so well marinated, the ham is smoky and not extremely salty, the garlic chipotle mayo is garlicky needless to say but it brings out the flavor of the ham/pork. Be careful biting into this thing cause it sure is juicy! And HOT!! Ouch burnt my lips again!!! MUST TRY!! Serving time: Service is good and people are friendly here, wait time can be long depending on the time of the day. Call ahead to avoid the wait time! OH and come early cause sometimes they run out of chicken cutlet and then you'll have to get the grill chicken cutlet- which ain't as good in my opinion! Price- great! Around $10 for most sandwiches, they are not stingy with their ingredients here so $10 is well worth it for a sandwich! I can only finish 1/2 a sandwich most of the time. Overall: I got nothing but praise for Constantine Deli, food is constantly good, constantly fresh and constantly delicious! As a matter of fact, I came back 3 times after my initial visit. That included two visits within a one week period... that should tell you something about this place and my obsessive personality hah. Make sure to come with some friends so you can share and try all the different sandwiches they have here!

Came here to eat after seeing the buy one get one 50% off deal. We asked the staff if the deal works on burgers and she said yes, but when we went to pay, another person said its for sandwich only. They ended up giving us the deal anyway... We got the dragon sandwich, which was okay (not as good as the burger). The baysider burger was good, better than a lot of other places. It also came with a side (we got sweet potato fries) The meat was very tender, not frozen meat. Only complain is that the buns were too oily.

Slamming Sandwiches! So far I ordered 5 different sandwiches on semolina hero's ! It's like biting into Heaven! Delivery on grub hub has been the fastest! I received one order in 20 minutes! Great food friendly delivery guy and fast service!!!

2 of my friends are the top 2 check-in's for Constantine's.. So I was always curious if this place was that good or not..lol Or maybe it's location was just convenient for them. Anyway, one morning after a nice workout at the gym, my friend and I drove here for breakfast. I just had a bacon, egg n cheese w. lettuce and tomato on a roll. If they fuck that easy sandwich up, I'm never going back again..Haha But their customer service was on point and the sandwich was tasty. So not bad. There's a few tables inside, and there's a sandwich menu, but the sandwich guy said, "If you want something that's not on our menu, just say the name and we'll make it." Wide variety of bottled drinks available. Plenty of residential parking around there.

Note: this is a delivery review. I've never actually been to the place before. I tell ya: this is comparable to Cherry Valley. Fo cereal, yo. They have wraps, burgers, salads, sandwiches. The sandwiches and wraps have such great combinations of ingredients. Prices are decent for the size. I'm gonna dream about the sandwich I had for lunch today.

Good food, nice people. Burgers aren't bad, the fries are awesome and they're sandwiches are Great. A bit pricey but overall a great place I get food from regularly. And some good chicken noodle soup for when I'm feeling a bit under the weather.

NB: 3.5 stars is my rating. This is a neighborhood deli that has evolved, along with the neighborhood it serves. Louis and his sons are on a balancing act worthy of the Wallendas. One senses that they want to break free and use some of the tricks the boys learned at CIA. But the neighborhood demographic will not allow--a deli in the hood is a deli in the hood. So, they nibble around the edges, pun intended. Home-made sauces for the burgers and sandwiches, for example. Their grill-masters are second-to-none; short-order paradise. The burgers are, perhaps, the biggest surprise. On a brioche bun toasted with garlic butter. The burgers are huge--they say 8 oz., I say, at least 8 oz. The meat, very fresh and pink. Cooked to order, unlike an organic burger joint on Bell, which, strangely enough, cannot get done-ness right for love or money. The one disappointment: The fries. Frozen shoestring. With freshly made fries the rating would be four stars. I cannot help but mention that when growing up nearby Constantine's was a part of our lives. Former owners Milton, Lou and fat Mike knew us, and we them. As kids we never paid--they just added the purchase to my family's index card in the box, and we paid every now and then. Try doing that today. I hope Constantine's continues to evolve--bring on the kimchi burger!
